Kim Clarke Champniss on Vancouver in the Classic Disco Era

Canadians in a certain age bracket that remembers Much Music as a music video channel, likely remember Kim Clark Champniss as one of its faces, usually associated with the more “progressive” musical offerings of the day.

Among many other accomplishments, Champniss was also a club DJ in Vancouver in the ’70s, and today on his blog, shares some great stories, as well as plain English explanations of some of the advancements in sound and skill sets that are now modern club standards.
